PROJECT BRIEF:
The project centres on transforming a 1960s brick veneer dwelling through strategic demolition and thoughtful extension. The rear portion of the house was removed to make way for a modern yet discreet addition, seamlessly blending contemporary design with the existing structure.

A key feature of the new extension is a covered deck area, providing an inviting outdoor living space. The design emphasizes an open plan layout, creating a sense of spaciousness and flow. A cantilevered roof adds a striking contemporary element, while the use of modern materials creates a deliberate contrast between the new rear addition and the traditional street frontage.

Within the existing structure, the layout has been carefully optimized to work within the constraints of the original building. This thoughtful redesign maximizes the potential of the available space, ensuring every square metre is utilised effectively. The renovation transforms the existing 3-bedroom house into a 4-bedroom home, catering to the evolving needs of modern family living. The updated floor plan includes a family bathroom and an ensuite, enhancing comfort and convenience. Bespoke joinery throughout the home adds a touch of customized luxury and functionality.

This project strikes a balance between preserving the home’s original character and introducing contemporary elements, resulting in a harmonious blend of old and new that meets the demands of today’s lifestyle.
